Default Hey Everybody!!

Hey everyone I'm new here. My name is Sara and i'm 17. I live in New York and I'm probably one of the biggest Lucy Fans you will ever meet. I'm sure all of us around here are . I carry a Lucy Pocketbook with me everywhere i go. My whole bedroom is I Love Lucy. I've been watching the show since i was born basically. It's because of Lucille Ball that I want to get involved in the TV industry. I hope to become an actress and do everything involved with the TV field. I'm so glad to have found this board and be able to talk with all of you about the show!!

Amen to that! Welcome Sara, Welcome Tricia!

I always like hearing you youngsters praise the great old shows like I Love Lucy... that's what keeps these shows going, generation after generation getting "hooked"!

Just curious, do you two like a lot of the shows today, or are you more into the old classic shows?

Lucy is one of the few classics i like (lucy, happy days, brady bunch, bewitched) Some of the stuff that's on now i like (amazing race, american idol, growing up gotti, etc) I hate A LOT of the reality shows tho. some are funny to watch the others should just get thrown out. Comes to show that they really don't have any better to put on TV.

You're exactly right there... I think that it's probably just a lot less expensive to put on idiotic 'reality' shows than it would be to pay good writers to write a good show, whether it's a sitcom or a drama (although there are a few good drama shows on these days, but fewer and fewer good sitcoms).

Oh I so agree Tweety! There are way too many of those silly reality shows! Everytime I turn around there's a new one. Ugh! I get so tired of them. I miss the classic shows but that was what TV Land was for but they have been a huge let down in the past few years.
