Question Ummm...What's with this Popularity With this "Noggin" Network?

It's a kids Network channel, right? Like YTV, Nickelodeon and Treehouse, etc?

So why is there so many threads about it?

By the way, I just want an explanation on the sudden popularity of this channel. Feel free to lock it up, as there is already a discussion on other threads about this channel.

I like it because it is the only network for us Americans (at least down here) to watch Degrassi: TNG.

Because the shows it plays, while for children are good enough that adults can watch them too. and they play entertainment that isn't all about sex, drugs and violence, its a great alternative for the rest of the crud thats on tv.

I've started to watch some things and the night version (The-N) isn't too bad. Hey - with the garbage on N@N and TVLand anymore it's better than nothing. We get the Canadian versions, but its in the home theatre room and I'd rather hang out mainly in the family room so I watch U.S..

The-N isn't bad, IMO. "Degrassi: TNG" is a very good show for teens and deals with loooooooots of various issues (too many to list). They also air reruns of other teen-centric shows like "Moesha" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," and even "My So Called Life."

It's not so much sudden popularity, if you notice, it's basically one person starting the threads you're talking about. But like the above posters have said, shows like Degrassi The Next Generation, the late great Radio Free Roscoe and My So Called Life made The.N (not Noggin) a welcome channel for viewers interested in intelligent teen oriented programming

And that person has every right to make threads. It's not always the same, but about different shows that air on The-N. I don't see what the big deal is when there's bzillions of threads about Three's Company, etc.. And these threads weren't all started at once like a spammer would do. He's a good member in good standing and has piqued my interest in the network.

Yeah, same here. There's all kid shows until 6, then Fresh Prince, Moesha, RFR, Instant Star, D:TNG come on. That channel is like a teen channel for me.

I enjoy watching Sabrina reruns on The-N, but I am sick to death of the Degrassi and Instant Star commericals. I could seriously throw a brick at my TV.

I agree, I love the N. Problem I have with it, is the commercials are to long. The reruns they air like "Moesha" and "Fresh Prince" are great shows. Degrassi like most canadian import shows is a very good show.

By the way, "My So Called Life" is not on the N anymore.

I think the N should buy the american rights to "Naturally Sadie" from the Disney Channel.

I suggest The-N may add another MTV show.
