Paul McCartney Works With Radiohead Producer

Sir Paul McCartney has completed work on his 20th studio album since leaving The Beatles. His new album 'Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard' will be released in September.

In what appears to be a fresh new sound for McCartney, the album was produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Travis and Beck). He calls it a "back to basics" record and is credited with playing most of the instruments on the record, which is reminiscent of his 1970 solo debut McCartney.

Sir Paul debuted the track 'Follow Me' recently at Glastonbury and described another 'Jenny Wren' as being "the daughter of Blackbird" (a reference to his Beatles classic from The White Album).

The album was recorded over a two year period in both London and Los Angeles. "I did not want to rush this album" he said in a statement at his website. "I think it was worth the wait though. The music became more interesting over time and I'm really proud of what we did".
