Default Has Anyone Seen The Unaired Pilot of One Tree Hill...

If so... How does it differ from the Pilot that aired. Is there anyway to see it.

I haven't seen it either! I think they had a different actress play Haley, though.

I didn't even know tere was an unared pilot. I don't think I'd want to see it if there's another actress playing Haley tho.

I didn't know there was one either, but I wouldn't want to see someone play Haley either, it just wouldn't fit after seeing Bethany play her for two seasons

I've seen the unaired pilot (downloaded it off of Kazaa), and if I recall correctly, the only difference is that there was a different person playing Haley, except the character wasn't called Haley but Reagan. She was a lot punkier and more tomboyish than Haley is (but, didn't they dress Haley a little less pretty than they do now?). That's the only difference, which is why they probably haven't included it on a Season set. It'd be like having 2 pilots that are virtually the same. Of course, they could always include those Reagan scenes in a 'deleted' scenes section, much like they did with that Peyton storyline where she helps a little girl who was essentially a clone of her. Perhaps we should WHV know that we want to see it on DVD?

Just FYI. There is a scene where Reagan is still in the pilot. It's right after Lucas beats Nathan on the basketball court and this red-haired girl with a short hairstyle taps him on the shoulder as if to say 'way to go'. That's Reagan. Since she wasn't speaking any lines and no one would think anything of it (there was a crowd of teens congratulating Lucas, and she would just come across as being one of them), they just kept it in.

It's hard to say seeing as it was just one episode. As I stated before, Haley was dressed down a bit in the first couple of episodes, so it's unfair to compare the two. Who knows how "Reagan" would've developed if given the chance? BJL is definitely a beauty, but her look definitely improved once the powers-that-be saw fit to get her out of her tomboyish street clothes. Smart move on their end, no?
