Sammy Davis Jr.

Archie looked the way he did after being kissed by Sammy because he was in complete Shock that he was kissed by someone as Famous as Sammy Davis Jr.

That is What I read in Archie's Face. Anyone disagree?

He had a surprsied face because he could not believe that Sammy Davis, Jr. had the audacity to embrace a white man. It was funny because Arhcie was completely oblivious to the fact that (inside) Sammy Davis, Jr. was mocking him for being an ignorant racist.

He was more shocked that a black man kissed him. Remember, in the very same episode, Archie refused to drink out of the same glass as Sammy Davis Jr.

Archie was flabbergasted because Sammy Davis Jr. was a black man and a legend at that. I think his shocked look was done more to underscore Archie's bigotry which was the basic premise of the show.
