Does anyone know where the show was supposed to take place?

Someone said Michigan, but I'm not sure.

Wellsville is the fictional city. I am not sure where it was supposed to take place but I know the show was filmed in New Jersey

I know it was a fictional city, but I thought I remembered one time where they mentioned the state.

I always thought it was NJ, I remember them mentioning MI before, but Jersey it where it seems like it takes place.

It was filmed in a few places in New Jersey,, Morristown for at least one season, and Cranford for at least one. I grew up in Cranford and got a real kick out of seeing my High School and community pool and downtown.
