Default Rhoda on Phyllis

Thinking about all the crossovers with Mary to Phyllis, Mary to Rhoda, Phyllis to Rhoda, Rhoda and Phyllis back to Mary (last episode), wouldnt it have been interesting to maybe see Rhoda crossover to Phyllis. A story idea would to have Rhoda going on vacation somewhere with a layover in San Francisco...I think it would be fun watching those to together on Phyllis' turf.

The fact that Rhoda and Phyllis only interacted because of Mary, it wouldn't have made much sense to have Rhoda visit Phyllis in San Francisco all the way from New York City

I agree, it would be sort of pointless.

But what if Rhoda was in San Francisco for another reason than to visit Phyllis? Maybe Rhoda wanted a little vacation, so went out to San Francisco, only to run into Phyllis? That would be better. LOL.

LOL, that would actually make sense! It could be really funny, too, since Phyllis would be the last person Rhoda would ever want to run into if she was on vacation! hehe

Yes, that would have been interesting. Too bad it never happened.

You should def. write that as a fanfic! It would be hysterical.

I think the Producers knew it wouldn't make sense for Rhoda to appear on Phyllis which is why it was never done. That's like Gloria from All in the Family appearing on Maude or Mike Stivic appearing on the Jeffersons

I think it would have been good to have seen Rhoda on Phyllis ie 2 characters not keen on each other who meet and neither are delighted.

I agree with Solomon - Rhoda and Phyllis in the first place were supposed to be enemies, weren't they? They only got a long because Mary was both their friends.

But, if that ever did happen, it would have been great to see them on the same show again!

Yeah the fact they were on opposite sides of the country was probably the main reason why there was not a crossover. I think they would have found a way for the crossover to happen if both shows were in NYC

I agree, unless it was to pay Phyllis back for crashing Rhoda's wedding and then forgetting to pick her up!!

My ultimate MTM show fantasy script: The casts of all 3 shows: The WJM gang, Rhoda's family (Joe, Brenda, Ida & Martin) and Phyllis, Bess, Jonathan, Audrey and Mother Dexter from Phyllis all ending up in Marys apartment for Thanksgiving catered by SueAnn. (Kind of reminicent of the Hooterville Thanksgiving with the Hillbillies, G. Acres and P. Junction)

Cool

With Mary's track record of hosting parties it's sure to be a disaster! But one that would be fun to watch!
