Ok, If you were going to pick a theme song for Three's Company, other than the actual theme(LOL!) What would it be?
I think "Thank You For Being A Friend" By Andrew Gold would make a good theme. (Yes, it's the theme for "The Golden Girls" LOL) Here are the lyrics: Thank You For Being A Friend-Andrew Gold Thank you for being a friend Traveled down a road and back again Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And if you threw a party Invited everyone you knew You would see the biggest gift would be from me And the card attached would say Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend If it's a car you lack I'd surely buy you a Cadillac Whatever you need any time of the day or night I'm not ashamed to say I hope it always will stay this way My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow And when we both get older With walking canes and hair of gray Have no fear even though it's hard to hear I will stand real close and say Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend Thank you for being a friend And when we die And float away Into the night The milky way You'll hear me call As we ascend I'll say your name Then once again Thank you for being a friend (Click this link to hear it: http://www.terrificmusic.com/files/m...ndrew_gold.ram) |

I also think "Those Were The Days" By Mary Hopkin is fitting. Here are the lyrics:
Those Were The Days-Mary Hopkin Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours Think of all the great things we would do Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Then the busy years went rushing by us We lost our starry notions on the way If by chance I'd see you in the tavern We'd smile at one another and we'd say Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La la la la... Just tonight I stood before the tavern Nothing seemed the way it used to be In the glass I saw a strange reflection Was that lonely woman really me Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La la la la... Through the door there came familiar laughter I saw your face and heard you call my name Oh my friend we're older but no wiser For in our hearts the dreams are still the same Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days La la la la... That's what Friends Are For
by Gladys Knight, Elton John, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder And I never thought I'd feel this way And as far as I'm concerned I'm glad I got the chance to say That I do believe I love you And if I should ever go away Well then close your eyes and try To feel the way we do today And then if you can remember Keep smiling, keep shining Knowing you can always count on me, for sure That's what friends are for For good times and bad times I'll be on your side forever more That's what friends are for Well you came in loving me And now there's so much more I see And so by the way I thank you Oh and then for the times when we're apart Well then close your eyes and know The words are coming from my heart And then if you can remember |

Yeah, that song is called "You've got a friend" Here are the lyrics: When you’re down and troubled And you need a helping hand And nothing, whoa nothing is going right. Close your eyes and think of me And soon I will be there To brighten up even your darkest nights. You just call out my name, And you know whereever I am I’ll come running, oh yeah baby To see you again. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, All you have to do is call And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah. You’ve got a friend. If the sky above you Should turn dark and full of clouds And that old north wind should begin to blow Keep your head together and call my name out loud And soon I will be knocking upon your door. You just call out my name and you know where ever I am I’ll come running to see you again. Winter, spring, summer or fall All you got to do is call And I’ll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend? People can be so cold. They’ll hurt you and desert you. Well they’ll take your soul if you let them. Oh yeah, but don’t you let them. You just call out my name and you know wherever I am I’ll come running to see you again. Oh babe, don’t you know that, Winter spring summer or fall, Hey now, all you’ve got to do is call. Lord, I’ll be there, yes I will. You’ve got a friend. You’ve got a friend. Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend. Ain’t it good to know you’ve got a friend. You’ve got a friend. |
