I spent some time today (finally) doing some screen caps from the Season one DVD. I got about 200 pics from the first episode, converted 'em to JPG's, enhanced some, trashed some (blurry, bad or boring) and uploaded the first twenty.
I stopped at my #70 (that's for my reference) but i intend to put up some more this week. My question is, are there any specific pics from the first season that anyone is looking for? |

well, it depends on the Program that you use to play DVD's on your computer - i use PowerDVD - it has a button that lets you capture a screen image, you can even set it up to capture a series of images with sequential file names (ie. it automatically puts numbers at the end)
other players do it differently, or not at all (like Windows Media Player) - and if you are just using the DVD player hooked up to your TV, your only option is to buy a tv capture card for your computer and hook that up to it. |

I have a version of PowerDVD but I can't find a way to get screencaptures. Are there more than one? Where can I get a better version?

i have PowerDVD XP 4.0 - it has a capture button and you change the settings in the options: you have to pay for PowerDVD, i don't think its TOO expensive to download an upgrade version, or you can get a copy with many new dvdrom drives |

I have Windows XP, and its Window Media Player has a "capture" feature. I also have Intervideo DVDPlayer on my puter, but its capture feature was limited while I used it (it's unlimited when you buy it). |

the newer versions of Windows Media Player may have added a Capture feature, i wouldn't know because I don't use it (other than to try and "fix" it for other people)
i am sure that there are many other ways of capturing images from dvd's, there HAS to be at least a couple of FREE ways, i just couldn't name them for you right off the top of my head. |
