The episode with the gas leak in the building - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I seem to recall an episode where Schneider had a nephew or some other relative visiting him, and the guy seemed to be slightly mentally ********. I think the nephew detects a gas leak in the building and runs into the Romano apartment and busts out the windows in that back sitting room with a snowshovel and drags Barbara out. Am I dreaming this episode? I probably haven't seen it since I was 10 or 11 if there really was an episode like that.

Is there a good website to look at TV episode plots because I don't like what happened to TV Tome.

According to episode guides the guy was a friend of Barbara's and he didn't have to get her out if I remember correctly she was napping on the couch and Ann woke her once she discovered that there was a gas leak. I know the guy fixed the gas leak.

I think I might have gotten mixed up somehow with that All in the Family episode that had Richard Masur as the grocery delivery guy. I thought the guy came in and busted the windows out with a snow shovel because it happened during winter.

Yes, the young man did indeed bust out a window to let some air into the apartment.
