FOX finally premiered its Sunday night lineup to disappointing results, with the net coming in fourth on the night, as sweeps brought out big competition on ABC, NBC and CBS. ABC led in the overnight metered market ratings, behind a surprisingly strong showing by "The Growing Pains Reunion Movie," with an average of 11.5 rating/ 17 share (10.2/15) for the night. CBS and "60 Minutes" followed with a 10.4/14 (10.8/16), with NBC in third with an 8.7/13 (6.0/9). FOX's Sunday drew an 8.5/13 (6.0/9) and The WB's revised Sunday lineup, featuring "Grosse Pointe," took a 3.1/4 (3.3/5).

ABC saw its ratings grow every half-hour on the night, beginning the with the "Wonderful World of Disney" presentation "The Growing Pains Movie," which reunited the original cast with a surprisingly strong 10.3/15 (last week, "Casper," 7.0/10). The movie peaked with an 11.2/15 at 8:30 p.m., winning that half-hour. At 9 p.m., "Millionaire" grew to an 11.8/17 (13.1/19), followed by another strong showing by "The Practice" at 10 p.m., 13.6/21 (13.8/22).

CBS may see its final numbers change after the NFL overrun is adjusted for all time zones. At p.m., overrun drew a 15.2/24, followed by "60 Minutes" from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., 12.8/19 (14.3/22). "Touched By an Angel" followed, 9.7/14 (11.6/17). The first part of the miniseries event "Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis" drew disappointing numbers for the net, averaging only an 8.1/12 (last week, "Last Dance," 10.0/16).

"Dateline NBC" kicked off the night for NBC with a 6.7/10 (6.5/10), followed by the romantic comedy "Ed," 7.4/11 (8.4/12). The election-themed comedy special "SNL's Presidential Bash 2000" had a strong performance, taking a 10.3/15 from 9-11 p.m. (last week, "The Relic," 4.6/7). The special did peak in its first half-hour with an 11.8/16, winning the half-hour, before dipping to an 8.4/13 from 10:30-11 p.m.
