My favorite Love Boat episode-s are the one
where M.A.S.H.'s Radar O'Reilly character(Gary Burghoff) is trapped in his cabin by one of the ship's guard dogs. He tries using a wire hanger to pull the phone into the bathroom and when it falls and the dog has the receiver in its jaws, he asks the dog to "Dial someone and tell them there's a dog in my room", as if the dog would actually do this for him. Other faves are the ones where Robert Hegyes ("Welcome Back Kotter") meets Maureen McCormick (Marcia "Brady") and a last season (May of the 1985-1986 ninth season) one where Adrian Zmed ("T.J. Hooker" Romano fame) is a womanizer playing his game with several different ladies. How can I buy copies of their videocassettes and what are the titles of these episodes. I like the original Love Boat best because its 1970's and 1980's primetime shows were set in Los Angeles (actually its Harbor in San Pedro) which is more interesting to me the Next Wave's Florida port of call. I think my favorite would have to be "The Brotherhood of the Sea". Doc, Gopher, and Isaac are trying to plan a surprise birthday party for Julie, but she keeps intruding every time she sees them getting together without her. They tell her that the meetings are for their club, the Brotherhood of the Sea, and no women are allowed. Julie is angry and says that women should be allowed, too. So they keep her busy with all kinds of phony initiation tasks while they plan the party. One of the tasks they give her is to memorize the entire first chapter of "Moby Dick." You see her wandering around the ship reciting, "Chapter One: Call Me Ishmael. Some years ago, never mind how many..." She's pretty pissed off when she finds out the club is a sham, and she did all that work for nothing.
