Talking TVMOTW in the 70's & 80's era!

I don't know about you all but tv movies of the week in the seventies and eighties had much more social issues, angst-ridden, well-written, and well-acted. Unlike some of the movies that started to be more stupid and riduculously didn't make sense from the mid-nineties up until now.(Sorry if I offend any fans of those movies but that's IMO!)
I loved movies that will leave you either shaking your heads or finding meaning in your hearts and souls. Looking at the issues that affect our lives and the lives of those around us. And the world. Also the actors and actresses seemed like normal and real people all of a sudden, that you forget that they are acting.
Since TV Land will play those movies this weekend on their 4th of July schedule, I am glad that they are playing those movies and I will have the vcr ready to record.
I loved "Brian's Song" and can't wait for "The Day After" and "An Early Frost".

70's and 80's MOWs were the staple of television back then! What happened to them?? Too many reality shows??

They were indeed the staple of the television age and now we have just garbage. Like reality tv! You said it my friend!

I don't understand the concept of "reality t.v.", it's like people want all this spontaneous stuff to happen and not use any real drama or good screenwriting.

I am looking forward to the MOTW Week!!

I just wish they included the Desi Arnaz movie "Mr. and Mrs. BoJo Jones."

I hope TV Land unleashes more tv movies of the week from those eras because this is a big step in the right direction.

I'm glad they aired "Brian's Song" last night, it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I wanted to catch "Bill" as well, but I had to go somewhere.

Wasn't that great! James Caan did the best death bed scene. Makes me cry everytime.
