Default Out of body experience (OOB)

Have you ever had a out of body experience? OOB, What do you think it is,your soul, or something else. Your astro projection body. I have tried I only done it once, but the other times I remember lifting out of my body, but my brain is awake but,I can't move a muscle,I can hear things also. Then I hear this nosie which sounds like the oceon waves crashing down, then I freak out and I am back and wide awake.I need to know how to you controll it,I beleive in it because I done it( one time) Like I said when I get to the noise part or when I can't move, but I am wake it always freaks me out and I try to wake my self up. Sleep disorders what some people call it,but it is the starting of an out of body experience. If any one knows how to do it e mail me at arron_392001@yahoo.com. Thanks. Arron_. AFTER ARRON IS THE UNDERSCORE.

I've been experimenting with Astral Projection and OOB's for the past few years. I haven't fully projected yet from sleep, but I have had many lucid dreams and managed to project from one of them. I don't know how I did it. It was so fast... but pretty cool.

Buy some books, or check astralweb.net. Very good site.

Oh lord... i could write a book about my experiences with lucid dreams and oob's. about half of my dreams are lucid, but not all of them make me feel like i'm really somewhere else. but when it does feel like that, i'm usually wandering around my house. i used to look around me to see things, and then go get my dream interpretations book to look up what they mean while i was still in the dream (i don't believe in those books anymore though). i actually came on this site one time, i just remember seeing some particular people on the "who's online" list. it was so real. sometimes when i'm lucidly dreaming i try to wake up but can't, and every time i try i just find myself in my room. i always question myself "am i awake yet, is this how the real world is?" and try again. once i thought i was awake and went out to the kitchen until i realized i was floating. i've had many recurring dreams where it really felt like i was going somewhere every night. i used to have recurring lucid dreams that i was flying over my school.

the one dream that comes to mind when i think about this stuff took place eight or nine years ago. i had some electronic game that i loved playing with, and i lost it one time and spent weeks looking for it. one night i dreamed that i looked under the couch and saw it there. when i woke up, i looked under the couch for it and needless to say it was there, exactly in the same place and in the same position i dreamed it was in. it scares me when i think about it. it was the first paranormal-like experience i had.

lucid dreams/OOB's are so ****ing fun.

Are lucid dreams and OOB's are the same thing? Coast to Coast am has a lot of programs about dreaming. I just seen The Jacket and let me tell you that was a strange one,I may have to see it again,it's just wired, you have to see it.

Iv'e had quite a few, what I guess could have been out of body experiences. Although I tend to prefer calling them miracles. Iv'e shared most of them here before, so I won't bore anyone with them again, but yeah, they can definitely be quite intense!!

Lucid dreams are dreams in which you realize you're dreaming while you're still in them, kind of like waking up inside a dream. sometimes i'm just a little lucid (just thinking "hey i think i'm dreaming..") and sometimes i'm in total realization that nothing going on around me is real, which makes it really fun. when that happens i fool around and do crazy things just for the hell of it and tell everyone around me that i'm dreaming, because i know that it's not actually happening. sometimes i just observe and experiment with differences between the "dream world" and the real world. i've noticed that i can barely feel physical pain in dreams, and when i pinch myself it just feels numb.

i don't think it necessarily means that you're having an out of body expierience, but you could be. i wasn't dreaming lucidly when i dreamed i found that thing under the couch, but there was no way i wasn't having an out of body experience or that anything paranormal wasn't going on.

Sometimes I know I'm dreaming but I still can't wake up or change the direction of the dream.

I've wanted to astral project for ages, but I can never seem to do it. I have tried completely relaxing my body and pretending I'm floating out, but it never seems to work. Can anyone give me any hints on how to do it?

Reminds me of Married with Children when Al was on a show where he thought he saw God and made his shoes. Then he went on a TV show and they asked about out of body experiences. This guy called in saying something about his car, and the host said thats out of body experiece, not autobody experience.

Try looking up techniques on the web. Unfortunately, it's a lot harder than relaxing and pretending you're floating out. You need to be physically asleep, but mentally awake, for starters. Astral projecting requires strenuous concentration.

Try looking up something called "mantras". They are old ancient chants that you mentally recite when attempting to project, that help maintain concentration.
