I preferred TVTome too, but I'm giving the new site a fair chance. I especially miss the "classic shows" forum where I first started chatting with guys like you, Bob.

Default TV TOME

Hey, Beamish, I just added a reply to the MR. TERRIFIC page....
Have you ever come up with more eps besides MATCHLESS and STANLEY THE SAFECRACKER (not to mention PILL CAPER and UNSOLD PILOT)?

Yeah, it's not as convenient. I like seeing the episode list as one big list of all the episodes. Not separated by season like that with each season on a different page.

No Bob, I haven't. Buuuuuutttttt......

I was hoping to keep this under wraps until I'm sure everything is going to work out. I've been in e-mail contact with Billy Shears in Germany (Seems to be a really great guy.) Billy's got some of those long lost eps on tape. He's going to make me a copy, and I'll be sending those titles that we here in America have had to make due with. (As you can see, Billy's very fluent in English.)

Of course these episodes are dubbed in German and they're on PAL, but something's better than nothing. If and when I get the tape, and if and when I can get it converted, you and neuroslicer will be the first guys I contact.

Billy has nine episodes. Two of them are in The Pill Caper, the others are among the lost. Some titles: Stanley the Fighter, Has Mr. Terrific Sold Out?, Stanley the Track Star, Stanley Goes to the Dentist, Stanley Joins the Circus, etc.

As I said, my mouth is watering. It will be a while, though. Billy's got to make the tape and send it to me. Then I've got to have it converted and make some copies for the true fans like you.

Boy, I am really hoping this all pans out.

I'll be in touch.

Default Mr. Terrific

In GERMAN? Is the show still titled MR. TERRIFIC, or HERR UBERMENSCH?

Ha! I would have said Herr Terrific.

Actually, in my research of the show, I discovered a long time ago that it was particularly popular in Germany. The title there is Immer Wenn Er Pillen Nahm which means When He Took Pills.

Billy says it was once syndicated under the title Stanley Beamish.

Either way, in any language, I'm dying to see these eps again.

I haven't looked a lot yet, but I hope that some of the episode guides on tv.com are at least right. The ones on tvtome were wrong occasionally.
