Default I Noticed Daisy Duke Never Had A Man

I wonder why the writers never gave her a love interest on the show. Ennis liked her & they kissed once when she drove him to the airport to see him off because he had gotten a job in California. He's the only man i've seen her kiss when i watched the show. I remember her & Ennis got married in the reunion movie. You mean to tell me she never had a man before then? If i was her age back then, i would've tried to ask her out if i was on the show. I'm sure the men at Boars Nest where she worked at probably wanted to ask her out but never did. I'm also sure that Tom & John probably asked her out off camera.

The producers probably didn't want to pay a "Daisy's boyfriend" character . She probably dated every single man in Hazzard County, and none of them was able to steal her heart . I preferred Daisy single and available for whoever came along . Enos had a crush on Daisy, and she didn't have a boyfriend, so that gave Enos a faint glimmer of hope . If Enos had a crush on Daisy, and she had a boyfriend, that just would've been sad . The episode "Mrs. Daisy Hogg" would have played out differently if she hadn't been available for Jamie Lee Hogg ( a pre -- Star Trek Jonathan Frakes), and it probably wouldn't have been as good .

Cool

Bo and Luke never had girlfriends either!! I guess it was a family curse to remain single!!

I'm pretty sure there was one episode where Daisy referred to Cletus as her "boyfriend."

I seem to have started something . They probably didn't want to pay another actor to play Bo's girlfriend, Luke's girlfriend, or Daisy's boyfriend . It worked out better for Bo, Luke, and Daisy to be available for whoever comes along .

I think I saw that episode, DJM77 . If I remember correctly, it was from the episode where some gangsters rented the jail so they could have a private meeting, and the Dukes got curious and tried to trick their way inside . Daisy's claim that Cletus was her boyfriend was part of their ruse . When Daisy claimed Cltus was her boyfriend, I'll bet it was part of a trick .

Daisy went on a date with the guy who was a pilot, but Bo and Luke embarrassed her to the point she didn't want to see him again. They were about to kiss when it happened. She also fell for Jude Emory, the Texas Ranger. Bo and Luke had a few single episode romances. The more I think about it, I don't remember many other people in Hazzard that werethe same age as Bo, Luke and Daisy.

They did have Daisy showing some interest in some men that would come through Hazzard, but usually they were doing something crooked with Boss Hogg or pulling some kind of scam of their own. I remember one of them being a one time guest star, the actor Jonathan Frakes, who of course went on to become well known as Commander William Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation!
