Default What would they have done with Myra?

Sadly Michelle Thomas died of a rare form of stomach cancer in Dec.1998, if the show had been given a 10th season (98-99) what do you guys think the writers would have done with the character of Myra?

They probably would have just written her out as moving on with her life especially at that time (98) she might have been too sick to be on the show anyway. Once Steve and Laura got together there would be no use for her. Unless they have her appear once more at Steve and Laura's wedding.

more than likely, she wouldve appeared on Steve and laura's wedding, trying to get steve back.

I'm still saddened by her death. She seemed like such a sweet & nice person!

Michelle played Callie on Young & The Restless. I couldn't believe it when she passed away!! She was a great actress. Sometimes I catch a rerun of her on The Cosby Show and for a sec I forget she's not with us anymore. I think the writers would have just not mentioned her again the way they did with Judy.

They probably would have written her death as an auto accident, as most sitcoms do.

Myra was getting less attention anyway since Steve and Laura started dating, they probably would have done what they did with Waldo, mention why she's not there one time, and we never see or hear from her again.

Since Myra was literally being phased out during that last season, I think although she did pass away, she would have been written out the next Season anyways. I'll admit it is ironic though how the time element on those 2 factors worked out, or would have worked out if the show was continued for a 10th Season. The Actor who played Commishiner Guiess also passed away shortly after the 9th Season. I sometimes wonder what they would have done with his charachter. Now I know this is pushing things to the limit due to the fact that Carl was just promoted to Captain in the 9th Season. They could have had an episode that year where Commishiner Guiess passes away and Carl becomes the new Commishiner. Just a thought.

Or maybe they would have just replaced him, remember Captain Davenport and then Captain Savage, they never explained what happened to the 1st captain.
