When Cindy Williams left did the show change titles to just being called Lavern?

I have read that the show was renamed "Laverne" in Germany. Here in the United States the show remained "Laverne & Shirley." The title sequence was altered to eliminate any references to Shirley after she departed two episodes into the 1982-83 season (which turned out to be L&S's last season).

Yeah! Laverne and Shirley was the same after Cindy left because Penny Marshall didn't want it to seem that she pushed Cindy out!!
