Sad

Cindy Williams left the series because she was pregnant and her work schedule had long hours and with Cindy's pregnancy she had to sit a lot and rest!! They had her scheduled to work the week she was supposed to deliver Emily!!! That's why she left the show!!! They were all being unfair to her needs!

The producers contended at the time that they offered Cindy a reduced schedule, but that she still wanted full salary, which they were unwilling to pay. Both sides definitely put their own spin on events.

Yeah, she sued them for, like $20 million or something (it was settled out of court).

I think it's sad though, because in Wake Me When It's Funny, Garry talks about how it hurt him, and how he had even named their dog Cindy, 'cause she had given it to them.

It's too bad the show ended on such a negative note for Cindy. But she participated in the reunion special/clip show a few years back, so hopefully she and Garry have patched things up.
