The interviews that are seen on the DVD extras are taken from a documentary done for TV Land (or Nick at Nite) some years ago. You see Morey Amsterdam and Sheldon Leonard in those interviews and they have both since passed away. I was hoping that they would put the entire documentary on one of the discs but they didn't. I wish I could remember the title. I think it was something like "Remembering the Dick Van Dyke Show" or something like that. I hope this helps a little!

it was called "The Dick Van Dyke show remembered" and aired on CBS in 1990 (I think in November). TV LAND didn't start until 1996. You're probably confused because it aired right after N@N started showing "The Dick Van Dyke show".
It says this on the package. |

http://imdb.com/title/tt0322022/ The following three Van Dyke Show special programs are also needed on DVD-Video, IMO. I'd buy 'em instantly. .......http://imdb.com/title/tt0378102/ http://imdb.com/title/tt0409892/ http://imdb.com/title/tt0289155/ Here's one I'd never even heard of before today -- "Dick Van Dyke Meets Bill Cosby" (a 1970 TV Special). ....... http://imdb.com/title/tt0455431/ |

They did put the entire "Remembered" documentary on one of the discs -- the full 46-minute program is on a disc contained in the Season-Four boxed set.* (You couldn't POSSIBLY have missed seeing that lengthy bonus feature, could you, being such a fan of these DVDs?) ![]() (But, perhaps you were referring to the fact that Image Ent. didn't include the "Inside TV-Land" Van Dyke special on the DVD sets.) * = Although I've been told by an insider that some of the short "clips" that are scattered throughout the various DVD sets are clips that are not included on the "complete" program. Not sure how much that equates to, minutes & seconds-wise, but evidently some "extra" clips were added to the DVDs that are NOT seen in the complete 46-minute program.
