Lenny/Squiggy saying stupid

I love Lenny and Squiggy!!! Who does'nt? Anyway, you know in some of those episodes where they get into an argument, I think one where they had a disagreement was in the episode Hi Neighbor. Well everytime they shake hands and make up they say stupid at each other. Anyone know why they do that?

Also those hand signs they always make when they see an attractive girl, well when Lenny bites his hand that means something like I love you does'nt it? Squiggy kinda has a hand sign to like in the Milwaukee Laverne/Shirley opening theme their at the pizza bowl and see a girl and Squiggy puts up his hands and does this thing eith his mouth. Is he saying I love you and does everyone know what I'm talking about?
