what year did L&S go into cindication?

Princess Feenster, that's the day it began airing.. I don't think that's the same as going into syndication... although for all I kow it could be.

I believe it went into syndication in the fall of 1981. All the episodes were retitled "Laverne & Shirley & Company" for syndication, to differentiate them from the first-run shows on ABC. They reverted back to the original title after the show ended its run on ABC in 1983.
