Did Mork ever make an appearance on L&S? Maybe he is the one responsible for the space/time shift...

As far as I could tell from the early episodes, the series was supposed to be set in the early 50's. Yet by the end of the series, it seemd that they where living in California circa 1974! Now, I'm not positive on how long the show ran, but I am fairly positive it didn't run for over 20 years! SO what caused this shift in the time/space continuum? Was it the work of Mork?

Mork never appeared on Laverne & Shirley, but the character Laverne was on the first episode of Mork. And silentbri, if you see the opening credits of the last season, you'd see it was set in 1967, even though that still IS quite a jump

------------------
"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"

"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"

"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"

"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"

So that means it jumped ahead about two years, right?

Jack: I'm surprised at you. Where would all the great women of history be if they thought like that!? Look at Joan of Ark and wht she accomplished. And, and Florence Nightengale and Madam Curry.
Chrissy: And Lucretia Borzok.
Janet: She posioned people.
Chrissy: Yeah, but she was very goo at it.

Well.. not really sure. In 1983 it was set in 1967. Based on that, when the show debuted in 1976 it would've been set in 1959. In the fourth episode, they mentioned they'd been out of high school for 3 years, meaning they had graduated in 1956. And in a later year, they do go to a Class of '56 reunion. However, I don't know whether that episode was in 1981 or 1982. If it was in 1982, it would make sense.

Did you ever watch "The Waltons"? The series started, I believe, in 1933 (when it debuted in 1972) and ended in 1946 (when it ended in 1981). That's a 13-year span covered in nine years!

You can catch "The Waltons" at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm ET on TNN, BTW.

Actually, I remember a sign reading 1966 at one point during the ending credits. I think that may have been 82 or 83.
