"Control Your TV" commercials - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

has anyone seen any of these, lauding being able to filter out shows you don't want your kids to watch?

However, I think the commercial makes parents out to be stupid. I know plenty of people who have children that, they might not want them watching an R-rated movie or a TV-MA tv series, but once the kids have gone to bed, they're NOT watching Seseme Street and Pokemon for themselves, they're gonna watch stuff they don't want their kids to watch. My friend who has twin 6-year olds has watched a lot of "inappropriate for kid" movies and tv shows after they're in bed. So does another friend who has a 9 year old and 13 year old, she'll watch things that aren't so family-friendly when they're in bed too.

The commercials make it sound like parents are prudish and just because they have kids means they lost the ability to watch R-rated movies FOR THEMSELVES WHEN THE KIDS ARE IN BED. Stuff like that irks me, lol.
