Default Cartoon Network: The Early Years, The New Age, Or Craptoon Network?

Im Not Sure When The Exact Date Cartoon Network Started But I Started Watching When I Was 3 (1993) So I Have Grouped The Years Like This:

1993-1998 The Hanna-Barbera Network, Pretty Much every Show Was HB and All The Shows Were Classic.

1998-2002 What A Cartoon! The Beginning Of Some Of The Most Annoying Shows In The History of Cartoons Such as Dexter's Lab, Cow And Chicken, And I Am Weasle (Courage the Cowerdly Dog Was The Only One I Enjoyed)

2002-Present Either Adult Swim Or Japanamation It All Pretty Much Sucks With A Few Exceptions

I Would Have To Go With the first One.

Well I didn't have Cartoon Network until the beginning of Fall 1997 when I start having sattelite. I would have to say 09/97-06/04 era was the best, and I bet Cartoon Network was cool before 1997 too.

When that young female announcer took over A changed everything. Cartoon Network went downhill. Now that they have added CC Fridays, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Mucha Lucha, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Atomic Betty, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, and Krypto The Superdog. I stopped watching it. But I still watch Adult Swim & Boomerang though.

Well, Im glad you didn't lump "Courage The Cowardly Dog" in with the bad shows, or else I would have had to yell at you, because THAT was my favorite Cartoon Network show of all time. I loved that dog, and I LOVED the sick, twisted, "What A Cartoon! Show" stuff they used to have on. If I remember correct, that's where the "Courage The Cowardly Dog" pilot aired. As well as "Cow and Chicken" which really had its moments.

DO NOT diss "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" though. THAT is funny. That one I love.

And for the record, I love "Teen Titans" too. I know that seems to make a lot of people roll their eyes at me, but I don't care! :P

Oh yeah! Why won't I have her up against The Powerpuff Girls or somebody, and see if she can kick anyones @$$ at the same time, that's if she's the most dominate female in the cartoon industry.

For the record, I love the first years of Cartoon Network where it used to run Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones and those other great shows like Yogi Bear, Top Cat and other classic shows from Hanna-Barbera. As of right now, Boomerang runs the show over there. I don't get Boomerang on cable, my brother has one on DirecTV.

Well, personally, the Anvil comedy of the older toons used to amuse me, but i outgrew it. Anime is the only really good animation today ( Simpsons excepted ) cause its story and character driven, not predicated on marginal stories and violence ( well, it can be VERY violent, but as a means to tell a story, not to make you laugh ). Those of you who put it down, only see a tiny amount of the anime available, and usually the least interesting of it...even the good stuff seen on TV here, is heavily edited and censored, try renting or borrowing the uncensored DVDs of Evangelion, Escaflowne or Slayers, then see if you still hate anime ... PS, Even Tenchi Muyo and Cowboy Bebop are much better in the original forms

The early years (even though I didn't watch CN until 1997) were very great, but has a tedency to stagnate, so I'll go with the 2nd era.

The 2nd era, b/c it has a well-balanced blend of Classic and Original programs. Good such as DL, PPG, CtCD, JB.

The current era w/ all the wave of crappy anime sucks, save for Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Kids Next Door, Family Guy, and a few good kids WB shows such as Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited.

Winner: The 1998-2002 era.
