I'm really sorry for saying that American Pie was a crappy song.

I had no idea what the song was about. I feel really bad about it now. I will never say anything bad about the song again.

It's a classic. There is some debate about the truth of the meaning of the song. The writer denies it being about the death of Buddy Holly, etc. - he says its more a tribute to his late father, but either way, it does have a very deep meaning.

I always liked it. I remember doing a play around it in grade 6 music class.
