For the Andy Griffith Show/Danny Thomas Show fans among us, TV Land made a boo-boo in its intro to an episode of The Andy Griffith Show during the mini-marathon June 15. In the episode about the woman whom Sheriff Taylor ticketed for speeding, the TV Land announcer said she should have known better since the actor, Jean Hagen, was the passenger in Danny Williams' car when he had been pulled over for the same offense in an earlier Danny Thomas episode. He was referring to The Andy Griffith Show pilot. Jean Hagen, TV Land mistakenly claimed, played Mrs. Williams, Danny's wife. Not so. In the pilot, which aired in 1960, it was Marjorie Lord, not Jean Hagen, who played Danny's wife and was the passenger. Jean Hagen left the series in 1956 and Marjorie Lord played Danny's second wife beginning in the fall of '57.
