By the way, there will EVENTUALLY be a review of ths set posted in the reviews, hopefully sometime tonight. The holdup is coming from the fact that there was supposed to be a combined review with the colorized episodes and black and white episodes, since the sets are essentially the same other than the colorization. I have the colorized episodes, but the reviewer that is handling the black and white episodes has yet to receive that set, and the only thing that we really know right now is that they are on their way. If they don't come soon (like today), then I'll try to at least get the color review done for those that are interested in this set. |

The Bewitched DVD review on Sitcoms Online answered my question, unfortunately yes.

I don't think the opening credits issue is a mistake as much as it is laziness. The original 1964 opening had sponsor information at the end, so Sony just chooses to decolorize a 1966 opening that had no sponsor information attached, and pastes the 1964 theme arrangement over it. When these episodes aired on Nick at Nite back in the early 1990s, they solved this problem by simply freezing the animation during Agnes Moorehead's credit. Why they can't do the same for the current syndication package, or for the DVDs, is anyone's guess.

Yes, I seen them. When I went to purchase them I had it in my mind that I was only going to purchase the B/W set. When I got to Target, they did not have the B&W so I got the color. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the quality!!! I have never seen anything yet that has been better as far as colorizing B&W film.
