Default What should they have done with Rachel?

What do you guys think the writers should have done with Rachel after she left, and Richie stayed behind? What explanation could they possibly give?

Maybe that she went on a long vacation, same thing as Cody & Brendan leaving Step By Step. Rachel must have taken Cody & Brendan w/her & never came home.

I found That Very Weird To... I have also Heard That They Were Thinking Of Spining Her Off At The End Of The 4th Season. This Is What I Had Heard It Was Supposed To Be, I Heard It was Going to be called "Rachel's Place" Where Her Restarant became so popular someone big asked her to manage their restarant and It was going to be about Her, Richie, Different Co-Workers, and Her Dating Life. Now i am not sure if this is true but i got it of a FM Fan Page and They Said Jeleel Said this in an interview.

Well in the 9th season they said that she went to take care of a sick aunt. (Aunt Helen I believe). That explanation could have been used in season 5 just the same. It could have been said that Rachel moved but just temporarily until Aunt Helen felt better. And they could have explained that Richie would live with the Winslows while Rachel is caring for the aunt.
