Arrow Place Your Bets! - TJL & Star Wars

How many times has TJL seen ALL of the Star Wars movies combined?

The winner gets to accompany TJL to a showing of, what else?... Revenge Of The Sith.

TJL will be dressed in full Darth Vadar costume, of course.

Don't miss this opportunity. Vote in the poll now.

I'd never dress like Vader.

Han Solo, maybe...

More than 20 times actually isn't that bad.

Figure.... they've been out for almost 30 years. There is six of them.
See each 3 or 4 times and you're set.

I'd say I've seen them about 50 times. Figure I see each one about once a year.... for about 10 years.

I'm trying my best to figure this out folks.

Episode 1 (Phantom Menace) I saw three times in the theaters
Episode II (Clones) Three times
Episode III Twice.

As for the original trilogy (eps 4-6) it's hard to tell. I was very young. I drink alot now, so I don't remember things that well anymore...

What were we talking about?

Arrow Hot off the press...

A Movie Obsession Sends Website Into Turmoil. Contest Underway.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY (AP) -- The entire nation anxiously waits for word on the exact number of times that TJL, Senior Member of the nation's premiere entertainment website, Sitcoms Online, has seen all Star War's movies combined.

Sitcoms Online, or SO, is sponsoring a contest to determine that magic number. Janice, one of SO's Lead Moderators, confirmed that, "Frankly, members are getting tired of TJL's constant drumbeat of Star Wars this, Star Wars that. Upper Management decided that it would be a good idea to have this contest in the hope that it will satisfy TJL's need to constantly discuss the movie. It may give him the attention he desperately craves. Good Lord, he claims he's naming his firstborn Hans Solo, whether a boy or a girl."

SO's owner and founder, Todd Fuller, echoed Janice's sentiments. "Look, TJL is a good member, and I've never had any problems with him", he continued, "But since Revenge Of The Sith opened, he's crossed the line into obsession. He makes constant threads about it, posts Star War's pictures and generally dominates every discussion with his incessant Star War's talk. If he contained it to the Movie Board, I'd let it go, but how do you find a way to fit it on The Brady Bunch board? TJL found a way. I've got bandwidth issues to consider."

"Furthermore", Fuller continued, "TJL won't listen to reason, which is uncharacteristic of him. He's always been easy going. Although, looking back in retrospect, I should have heeded the red flag when he threatened to sue me when his trademark winking smilie wasn't working due to a computer glitch."

Fuller states that he has dealt with similar issues before, in varying degrees, and he's hopeful for a peaceful resolution. He says the worst was Rainman's obsession with K-Mart. "That one was tough and cost him his membership." Fuller claims, "With most members, they keep their obsessions in check -- such as Penny Lane with Paul McCartney, Safety Pin with Metallica, Crystal with Clay Aiken, Karly and TripperFan with their pets, Brent and Stormtracker with the weather, Brian Damage with his Yankees or Fleet with his multiple obsessions with Cadillacs, chocolate, Dawn Wells, Joyce DeWitt and the Clinton Administration -- but this hang-up TJL has with Star Wars is just too much and has become a major distraction to my site. It's reached a fever pitch, and is as troublesome as Solomon's irrational insistence that Good Times was not a spin-off of Maude. I could also live without Janice's blind devotion to the Bush Administration. Can you scratch the last sentence? Let's keep that one off the record. Janice is good moderator, but she can be a real bitch sometimes."

TJL could not be reached for comment. Sources say he's been spotted at the local movie theater.
