I dont know if anybody knew this or not,but you know the woman in the opening credits looks at Mary(like shes crazy)when she throws her hat up into the air?Well,i guess she died in 1999.Its quite sad that a woman witnessed tv history(well,sort of)dies.She was 91.

Yeah, I knew about that. Did you know Mary actually met that woman (Her name was Hazel Fredricks, by the way)? Mary did a booksigning out in Minn. in '95 for After All, and Hazel came! Mary introduced her to the crowd as her "co-star" from the opening credits!

Yeah I heard about that. It's on the DVD I believe, but I knew that before hand. Think Mary mentions that during interviews too.

That was really neat I think and also did you know the hat toss was like a last minute thing?

"Why don't you toss your hat in the air?"

Yeah I knew that, but it's still very interesting.

When the people suggested Mary run out and throw her hat in the air, she thought they were crazy. I would too!! LOL, I don't think I even would have done it... unless there was no traffic what-so-ever. LOL. I'm just glad Mary did it, it's a critical part of television history now.
