I agree. I caught the very end of the Top 10 Couples (or whatever the stupid title was). I couldn't believe when they had Carrie and Mr. Big from Sex and the City in there and not Rob and Laura Petrie? WTF?

Made me glad I only tuned in for the next show coming on and didn't waste another hour of my life with this dribble.

Don't you agree that the top 10 couples list was LAME? I couldn't believe they left out Rob and Laura let alone put some couple that weren't ever married on a recent show as the 2nd or 3rd (can't remember which - I was ranting at the time) couple of ALL TIME? Come on guys! I swear they've hired a bunch of friggin' 8 yr old chimps to do their picking for them.

I agree! Rob and Laura should be in the top 5! Are the votes by the fans or TVLand? I know that we can vote on line and I am wondering if the votes are based on the viewers choices, I am sure a lot of votes would be balloted by younger viewers who probably don't know who Rob and Laura are. Hence, the Carrie/Mr. Big placement. Wondering?

I AGREE!!! I couldn't believe te results of the Top Ten about TV-to-movie stars. How'd Jennifer Aniston make the Top Ten? Robin Williams should've been in the top five, preferabbly in the Number 1 spot.

Yeah and how about Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen and Kathleen Turner to name a few? As I stated before I think that if this was an online poll most of the votes came from much younger people more than likely! (Not that I am knocking them) but to be an honest an accurate poll would be a cross section of generations.
But then again what poll is ever accurate?

I think TVLand producers (who maybe the janitor and cafeteria staff at their offices) vote the ones they air, but the public can also vote online.

Maybe you're right tho - and they do take viewers votes and if its a younger crowd getting on there, that would explain the odd lists!

And Jennifer Aniston a top Hollywood actress? Only because she was/is still sort of married to Brad Pitt (and I don't consider him a top actor either).

Total dribble - and I'm sorry I ever registered on their boards because I get weekly spam reminding me to watch these pieces of garbage - it started with Farrah and now I get the Top Ten emails each week!

I personally thought Carrie and Big were a great couple. For most of the series, she'd drop anything to be with him and he treated her like crap, then at the end, he reformed and saved the day and got the girl after Petrovski hit her. It was a series-long arc, no matter who Carrie would date, she'd keep coming back to the one she truly loved.

Yes, Aniston is not a "top Hollywood actress" IMO. This list was supposed to be for actors who had success on tv, but then had movie success that made you forget they were on tv. Like you said Robin Williams, he had a hit with Mork And Mindy, and went onto a film career that was so fruitful that many people might forget that "Mork calling Orson, come in Orson" and "na-nu na-nu" were what originally made him famous. In comparison, Jennifer Aniston is still Rachel to 90% of people, and The Good Girl was her only film success where she was the lead, Bruce Almighty was Jim Carrey's film, any actress could've played her part and it would've done the same.

I agree! If someone has truly crossed from the small screen to the silver screen, that means you normally FORGET about the TV time that they logged. Jen Aniston, to me, is not even close to doing this, as none of "her" movies have done very well, thus, people remember her better as Rachel Greene, her tube alter-ego. I agree that Robin Williams is the best example of a true "crossover," and Tom Hanks even comes to my mind, even though Bosom Buddies was definitely not a Mork & Mindy.

Thumbs up

You are all right about T.V. Land Top 10.It's useless, and a waste of time.ESSPECIALLY the so called "celebraties" they have "gushing" over the list. They're as funny as getting a root canal. And who is this Loir Lone?!?She is so freaking annoying!!!She must be an example of a z-list star(most of the celebraties on this show was mostly z-list).And everyone right about the selections that were made.It came from internet geeks, and young 20 somethings that have no idea what good T.V. is because they are brain damage! One word of advice:avoid the T.V. Land Top 10 marathon that will soon be coming on at any and all cost!!!
