This list sucks- Kirk cameron should not be anywhere near Dustin Diamond (SAVED BY THE BELL) Kirk Cameron was/is way more talented, he should have been in the top ten. How did Dustin Diamond (SAVED BY THE BELL)get on the list at all- he sucked, and so did Gary Colman, and Candace cameron while not the gretest child star- shouldn't be only 100- she is better then that. And how in the heck did Hanson get on the list- They were singers not actors.

Hey, I say we should all just be happy that they even INCLUDED our FOL girls. How many stations now-a days actually mention something bout FOL? Though, I will agree that Nancy McKeon should probably be above all of them b/c she was the most popular character, then Blair, then well, Nat & Tootie I'm not sure who outdid who, but they're probably interchangable. Whoever posted this, thank you SOOO much! I can't wait til Mon. My mom's b/f's birthday (may he R.I.P.) is on Mon and I thought I was going to be depressed all day... but you just brought me a little piece of happiness that I'll need to find a tape for. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT?! that is just WRONG! Nancy McKeon and Kim Fields are the MAIN stars of that show and are the only ones who went on to have a bigger career. What in the world are they thinking?!

Some of the list is puzzling- it seems actors who became bigger later, are higher than they should be (big stars as adults, marginal as children). Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon were great on Sex and the City- but how many people remember Nixon as a child star- all I saw her in was Little Darlings- and she's only in about 10/15 minutes of that. And- Square Pegs- while fun, was hardly the Brady Bunch in terms of impact, yet Parker ranks higher than Eve 'Marcia, Marcia, Marcia' Plumb?

Also- I guess this is only of the last 30/40 years...Mikey Rooney, Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor, Natalie Wood, Judy Garland, the Our Gang Kids...all of them are bigger than Gary Coleman.

BTW, to the people complainin about Nancy bein so far down on the list, lookat it this way; at least when they countdown from 100 to whatever, (they can only do 20 in an hr) we'll actually get to see her and not have to wait! : D Personally, I think that roxxx! |

it seems like after the top 10 or so, VH1 just started randomly throwing darts at names. Nancy and Raven were both WAAAAAAAY too low.
I don't see what was wrong about Hanson and co. making the list. Child stars can become child stars without a TV show. People need to stop bashing Gary Coleman. You forget that Gary is the very reason FOL exists, if Diff'rent Strokes didn't become a hit, Facts Of Life would've never happened. Just because the guy is a joke today doesn't mean he didn't set the bar for how big a child star could be in the 1980's. Sorta like the way Macauley Culkin may not be taken seriously today, but in the early 90's, he was getting paid as much as many adult A-listers were making. The list was for "biggest kid star", NOT "most successful transition from child star to adult star", in which Gary and Macauley definately wouldn't be the top 2. |
