Default Should any man walk down the street looking like this in the summertime on his way to

WORK? Wearing a Tie with a Short-sleeved dress shirt-LOL The dress code at my job has changed for the summer and men can now wear short-sleeved dress shirts with a tie. I'm sorry but i'm not tucking in a short-sleeve shirt and wearing a tie on top of it. Short-Sleeved Button down shirts should be worn out side of the pants. Not TUCKED in. I rather stick to the long thin long sleeve. Anyone disagree?

I agree, I never tuck them in. I prefer long sleeve shirts anyway.

I gotta admit, I've always thought the short-sleeved shirt and tie look was goofy! Whether the shirt's tucked in or not - all you're missing is the pocket protector!! I'd rather see the sleeves on a long-sleeve rolled up than that look.

The other trend I don't like is company's with business casual dress codes and the guys are all in "corporate" golfshirts. I just don't think the sleeves on golf shirts are flattering to anybody!

Still beats the hell out of the wife beater shirt under a dress shirt look - all I can think of when I see guys wearing that is that they're hiding man boobs!

I think if you have a tie on the shirt looks much better tucked in. Without a tie it looks fine either way to me depending on how long the shirt tail is.

Sorry it's kind of off topic but I hate it when men in their 40s come outside in their boxer shorts, it's disturbing. It happens to me all the time when I'm out walking in the morning.

Short sleeve shirts should not be tucked in.... and you should definitely not wear a tie with them. You're right Solomon, it is odd.

I think rolling up your sleeves is more comfortable, and much better looking.

Shirt and tie? What's that???

Oh... uh... sorry... My Los Angeles casualness is showing! Heh!

Seriously, I rarely see men dressed up at work anymore. Tee shirts, polo tops, short-sleeved shirts, long-sleeved shirts... you name it.

But usually, when a man is wearing a tie... long-sleeved shirts, I think, are more common (but I have seen the other)... and a suit jacket for being away from the work area.

I work in finance, so picture well-dressed and well-groomed for those men who do wear ties.

I dress up for my job. Lately, I have been wearing a short sleeve dress shirt tucked in because it has been hot as hell up here lately. I don't see a problem with it. But check this out, it is this dude that works for my company, he's kind of trashy, he wears wrinkled dress clothes and sneakers to go with it. How about that?

That guy you are talking about probably had a ketchup stain on his resume when he applied for that job-lol

On my way home from work today I saw a lot of guys with their long sleeve shirts rolled up. But that short-sleeved Shirt with a tie makes you look like a Goofball-lol

My friend was telling me about this man at her university who turned in his paper with food stains on it and he got mad when the teacher told him not to bring in stained papers again.

A few years back I had to go to a funeral on a VERY hot day and I wore a short-sleeve dress shirt. Tucked in it looked HORRIBLE.
