Default For All Who Hate the Cruise/Holmes Relationship.

Web Site Wants to "Free" Holmes
Jun 9, 9:26 AM EST

The Associated Press

Want to see Katie Holmes take leave of her new love, Tom Cruise? A Web site is selling items with the logo "Free Katie" for those fans who think the union between the 26-year-old actress and the 42-year-old actor is wrong.

The Web site, www.freeKatie.net, is selling T-shirts (in three colors), caps, buttons and coffee mugs, all emblazoned with "Free Katie" in block letters.

The site asks the viewer to "join the movement to liberate Katie, a young, gifted, actress held captive by forces we may never understand. Even one summer of captivity is too long for one so bright!"

The romance between Cruise, star of the upcoming summer blockbuster "War of the Worlds" and Holmes, who's co-starring in "Batman Begins," has been one of the hot topics in Hollywood. Besides their ubiquitous presence at public events and A-list parties, Cruise has raised eyebrows with his increased promotion of Scientology and some odd behavior on Oprah Winfrey's show last month.

During that taping, Cruise got down on his knees and repeatedly jumped up on Oprah's couch, saying his love for Holmes was "beyond cool."

For her part, Holmes has been nearly equal to Cruise in proclaiming herself completely head over heels.

"I've got to tell you, the most extraordinary thing happened to me one day in April when I met Tom," she recently told the TV show "Access Hollywood." "I'm more and more in love every day. It's like, `Wow.'"

Does anyone have a clip of Cruise on Oprah jumping up on her couch?

I gotta see this.

I'll see if I can find one. I watched the show that day. She couldn't keep him OFF the couch - or the floor!! If I didn't know better, I'd wonder what he was taking that day! At first I was happy for him, but it's already getting a little tired. You could even almost see Oprah wanting to just yell 'STOP IT ALREADY'!!

Couldn't find just a pic - here's a link to a video of it though. Note the comments also!!

I have no previous knowledge of Katie Holmes, and I have no interest in finding out anything more about her.

Tom Cruise turns my stomach, more and more every day. I have disliked him for years and years, and in fact try to make it a point to NOT watch anything that he is in. That's sad, since I love Dustin Hoffman and "Rainman" is such a good film. I just can't bring myself to watch Cruise any longer.

I used to like Katie on Dawson's Creek.

I hope to god that Tom doesn't brainwash her into his cult, luckily Nicole held her ground for a decade.

I hope War Of The Worlds flops, he is such an overrated actor. I'm tired of hearing how good he looks, Brad Pitt's only one year younger than he is and is infinately better looking.

Actually it sounds too late about "Katie and the Kult" (hey - that could be a new show!!) From what I've read, she's taken a keen interest in it - probably why Tommy boy's over the moon - he finally found a suckar!!

Actually I thought Tom was starting to look bad too, but I have to admit, she's been the fountain of youth for him or something because he's looking more like he did 10 years ago lately.

And I was surprised to see how much older Brad was looking on last night's 20/20 - probably the haircut though - I like him much better with longer hair.

I personally like the shorter hair on Brad. I think he is kinda cut from the same mold as Paul Newman, who hit his best looking years in his 40's and 50's (although now he's just an old man, lol). Brad looks better the older he gets IMO.

Who wants to take bets on how long this relationship will last?

Thumbs down

Tom Cruise was on Jay Leno last night, gushing like a schoolgirl over his new love. He giggles. I never could stand a man who giggles.

I kept thinking, Who gives a rat's ass if you're in love or not? What an overinflated sense of self-importance. I never heard him go on and on with his ex-wives Mimi Rogers or Nicole Kidman or his subsequent 3-year relationship with Penelope Cruz.

It's nauseating.

I am sure Katie had ulterior motives herself.

Once Dawson's Creek ended, she and her costars went straight to the "Where are they now?" pile, especially after shows like The OC and One Tree Hill premiered right afterwards, making people forget all about Dawson. Dating Tom Cruise is a way to bring Katie's career back from the grave and have people associate her as something besides Joey.

George Lopez was on Good Morning America today talking about his wife (who gave him a kidney) and he started jumping up on the couch.
And then he was like "that's how you do it Tom, that's real love" -- after he was jumping like crazy for like 30 seconds.

Anyways, I never did like Tom Cruise.... but Katie Holmes seems nice, and I think she deserves better.

I personally never cared for Tom Cruise. He appears one-dimensional in almost all of his movies. Katie Holmes could do better.

I think this has been a publicity stunt. They both seem to be starved for public attention. Chris Klein, (Katie's former fiance) is much nicer looking than Tom Cruise and with a less inflated ego. She didn't move up with Tom.

Tom Cruise appears neurotic on his latest TV appearances on Oprah and Jay Leno. A mid-life crisis or just insecure? Tommy gets more and more nauseating every year.

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina a couple or not??

I know what you mean about Brad - yeah, he probably willage gracefully like Newman did (not Redford tho - eeeewww!).

Of all guys, Brad can wear his hair short the nicest (I saw a pic of Hugh Jackman with his hair short today and eeeewwww - what happened to my Leopold!! ) I guess I'm just into more "baby faced" guys and of course, longer hair helps that look. heehee
