Default I’ll be seeing you.......

This has to be the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make……..

Recently I have had the wonderful pleasure of building a website honoring Freddie Prinze.

Some how I have been receiving some unpleasant slack regarding some unfortunate events that I was not aware of..

My four years here have been entirely devoted to Freddie Prinze, Isaac Ruiz, and the rest of the cast and series of Chico and the Man.

Not only have I been suffering burn out from all the designing and moving of two websites into one but have been receiving some slack on apart of my seriously twisted devotion to a “Dead Man” who I have been told had no talent. Well all I have to say to that, and that is B--- S--t! Sorry TJ, but I just had to get it out of my system.

I have and always will have a strong desire for Freddie Prinze, Isaac and the show itself, Chico and the Man. Yes I have to admit I have spent a serious amount of time consumed, to update and make the websites that I have tiredly worked on to make them more “hip”, and even tried to find any way possible to get more traffic to visit these sites.

My whole desire was not to gain or get attention, but to relive the memory of Freddie Prinze and crew of the show Chico and the man.

I have always respected Freddie and as many of us have never met him but still felt a closeness to him

The websites are still going to be up and running but I am just going to need a break from everything so the possibility of them being updated will be slim.

I am still planning to work on tributes to Freddie for his birthday as well as something for Isaac on his birthday, but after that, I am taking a break from the all static that I have been getting. I just don’t want to think to myself that I have been wasting my time over nothing.

Before I go, I must say a big thank you to all of you for all your support. Macca has been a gem for all her stock resources of pictures and Dani's wallpapers and pictures have been a inspiration to all of us to help keep Freddie’s memory alive.

Till then, I’ll be seeing you, hopefully sometime soon.

Suz

Please don't stop visiting here we need your humor, insite andyour friendship on this site. I hope you get all the rest you need and are feeling better all the time.
Take care and rest but please don't be a stranger.

Default Suzanne's departure....

I agree with Joy. We need you around here girl. The boards wouldn't be the same without you. You have been such a loyal fan of Freddie's and we all appreciate all the hard work you have put into each one of your sites. Whoever is harassing you, just ignore them...their not worth getting all upset over. If you need rest and a break from keeping up the sites, we can appreciate that, but please try to join in on the fun here. The Chico Chicks are alive and well girlfriend, even if the excitement has cooled considerably.
Just know that all your efforts are very appreciated.

This is not the news that anyone would want to hear. I know all too well that people can be hateful for things they just don't understand. They also seem to think you're morbid or something if you admire someone who has passed on. We're always told you should learn your history, yet people think once someone has left this world we should just forget about them. It's not always that easy. It's not always a good idea to forget either. You can miss out on so much, as many of us have seen. We would have missed out on so much, if this show hadn't come back on. Laughter, good feelings, friendship and learning.
All you can do is please yourself and do what you feel in your heart is the right thing for you. You can't please everyone, so it's no sense trying and no matter what you will have someone be a pain or thorn in your side. Just keep in mind that your absence will be very apparent. Things will not be the same.

This is sad news. You have done a great job with your sites & have truly shown your devotion to Freddie, CATM & Mando. We'll miss you if you take a break. Please don't let the naysayers keep you from doing Freddie related stuff. I too have gotten the you like a dead guy now & he's burning in hell cuz he commited suicide so I know how you feel. I feel that if they don't like me liking Freddie or my other stars --Arlo Guthrie, The Monkees, John Travolta, Shaun Cassidy, Tommy James (the 60's singer) & Starsky & Hutch (the real ones Paul Michael Glaser & David Soul) then they are the problem & not me. They all have lots of other devoted fans too so I'm not the only one out there enjoying them. People can be cruel sometimes & I sure hate to see people being that way towards Freddie fans. You have my support & do know we are here for you. Hang in there! We're all a Freddie family. I know Freddie is up there pleased at all the hard work you have done to honor him. Best wishes & God Bless...

Oh No It is a hard thing....

... when those around us don't understand who we are or why we do what we do. I get that all the time. Even when my own family tell me I have a shrine to a dead guy, I take it in stride and try not to let it get to me.

Merriam-Webster's Online dictionary has one of the definitions for devotion as "the fact or state of being ardently dedicated and loyal (as to an idea or person)" That is the way I see our little band of devotees to Freddie. And I always like to think of him smiling at us, knowing his memory is kept alive by our efforts. Suzanne, you should know from a really close personal reference that at least one person close to Freddie (Isaac) knows that the work you do isn't in vain or a waste of time. But when so many nay-sayers are out there telling you otherwise, it is hard to know what to do or think. If you feel you need a break from it, I support you. I only wish I had more time to devote to it like you do. I am glad I am finally on summer break so I can get back to my stories. In my own little way I like to think they are contributing to keeping the memory of Freddie alive.

Default Standing my ground

Thank you so much for your kind words.... Your emails and posts here have given me a new insight of what really friendship is all about.

After I decided to stay away from a few message groups after my last post here, I came to realize that my love for Freddie and all of you here are more important then anything in the planet earth.

Yes, I know I sound sappy but having an outsider come out of no where and email me about my twisted love for Freddie (Who remains alive in my heart) saying that I'm fawining over a dead guy is yes mean, and is out right unfair. Because when he says that to me, that I believe effects everyone, because we are all family here.

I am so sorry if I have made anyone here think that it was there fault because that is not true. I love and respect everyone here. The actions towards me effected me during an emotional time in my life on this month of June. Freddie's and Isaac's birthdays are arriving very soon. I am not going to let someone who hardly knows Freddie and or Isaac effect me while I celebrate these two special birthdays this month. So yes ladies and gentlemen. I am back and I am feeling better then ever!

Welcome back! I had to endure those mean folks on the Good Life (American Life) message boards talking hateful trash about Freddie & the show & us fans but they didn't stop me. They're the ones with the problem not us. We'll always be here for you & everyone else on here. Hang in there...

Default Thank goodness Suz

I am so glad you're back and have decided not to let one person's opinion deter you from what truly makes you happy. Freddie is smiling that big smile of his as we speak. What's so wrong with loving someone who brings so much enjoyment to your life? It's like saying we can't admire Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Jack Benny, John Ritter, John Denver, John Lennon or any other person who has passed though this world and in doing so has left us with a tremendous amount of talent and has taken a bad song and made it better. That's what Freddie does for me...he takes a bad day and turns it into a good day just by watching him on CATM, doing his comedy routine or watching him in MDR..which I stll say he had a real future as a dramatic actor. He was awesome in that. So smile your smiles and to heck with what others think. Give em a quarter and tell them to email someone who cares!!!!
