I thought I had heard that George Lucus was not going to make the next 3 Star Wars movies that follow 4, 5, and 6. Is this correct? And if so does anyone have any idea what his plans were for the story line?

I do believe that Episode III is the last Star Wars movie we will see from Mr. Lucas.

I've heard conflicting reports. I've heard Lucas has said that he does want to do another three movies and then I heard he said he has no intention of doing more movies.

Then I heard something about a television series that takes place after the events of Revenge of the Sith... I think that might be the best idea, as long as it's not cartoon. My head's still spinning from that abomination "Clone Wars" on Cartoon Network.

A live action series could be fun. And the real plus is Lucas will probably have to hire extra help for the story. There will also be less budget so the writters will have to focus more on character development and interaction. Perfect. That way there's less chance of him screwing up the timeline like he did in episode III. Yes, I am still bitter over that.

It's hard to tell what might happen. But as the wise Yoda once said, "Always in motion is the future." We will just wait and see.

What was the timeline screwup? I didn't catch it. I always thought that another 3 movies(7,8,9) would be great now because it's been 20+ years since the originals came out and with the actors aging it would be interesting to see how they would fit into new movies.

I agree that in theory, another three movies would be wonderful. I would like to see Luke in action again. But I'd rather not have Lucas saturate us again with special effects and neglect the acting and character interation.

If he can do it, I would watch it. I can't hope for much, at this point.

I agree on the acting. The characters in the last 3 were stiff as boards. The actors in the first 3 had great chemistry going on between them.

That's true. And because of that chemistry, I would like to see them reunited again. I'm just not sure if I trust Lucas with the task.

No way! I hope the books, comics and T.V. series keep coming.

Who knows? Maybe this Star Wars live action series they've been talking about will spawn a series of shows like Star Trek.

It would be interesting to see Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher playing their roles 30 years after they left off.
Who knows... it's possible that may happen someday but probably not before 2010.

Mark and Carrie might be willing but I don't think Harrison Ford would. He seemed to be happy when he was finished with the trilogy.
