Sad My Late Mother's Birthday Today

Today is my late mother's birthday; she would've been 72.
I miss and love her so very much; everyday I think about her.

I know you lost your mother this year. The 'firsts' of everything are the most difficult after losing a loved one. The first birthday, first Christmas, any holiday, first anniversary of their death....on and on it goes.

It will always hurt, but time is your friend. It does get easier in a sense. There are no shortcuts in the grief process.

Happy birthday to your Mom.

Yeah, the first year sure is rough. My Father's would have been on May 20th and he would have been 78. June 28th will be tough - that's the anniversary of his death and it's 25 years this year.

She'll always be with you - you NEVER forget them or special dates.

Happy B'Day to your mom and hugs for you.

Sad

In these past eight months I have spent

My mother's birthday where she would have been 62 (she died two weeks before turning 62 on October 22nd),
First Thanksgiving and birthday without her,
First Christmas,
First Easter,
First Mother's Day

all without her.

So I know how much it hurts.

i'm sorry. my mom's birthday is this month too. i visit her grave on special days like her birthday and holidays. it's saddening to look at it and think about how good and stable my life would still be if she were here. i loved and admired her sooo much my entire life; i never "hated" her like most teenagers hate their parents. she was both an awesome and loving mom. thirteen was a horrible age for me to lose her at. i've been depressed since before she died but i'm sure i wouldn't have been as uncontrollably suicidal as i've been for the past few years if she were still here to make me feel better. probably not a coincidence that it started around the first christmas after she died.
