Default The Only One?

Do you feel like you are the only one in your area (state, city, town, whatever) that posts here on SO. Have you ever wondered if someone in your life that you know comes here everyday and you know them by their screen name on here, but didn't know it was really them in real life? How weird would that be to overhear them talking about it and find out that person you know in real life is the same person you know on here? Something to think about...

There are a few people from Michigan that do post on here. But I don't think anyone that I actually know comes here. Unless people are lying about their name or where they live (I don't see why they would). Whenever I tell someone at work or whatever about these boards they all look at me like I'm a weirdo or something. Even my fiance, whenever he sees me at this site is always telling me to get off the computer. He's always afraid that I'm going to give away too much info about myself and have my identity stolen or something. So even though I have thought about it at times ,I don't think that anyone in my everyday life posts here.

Yeah, I'm another one of those Michiganders here on the boards but I don't think any of us really live near each other. Like you, if I ever mention the boards to people they think I am crazy.

OMG I am absolutely positive I am the only one out here in the sticks where I live who posts on here LOL!

I even have to wonder if anyone in the nearest large city (the state capital, as a matter of fact) knows of this website.

I seriously think there is nobody from North Dakota that posts here. I remember somebody from South Dakota registered here last year and I see a LOT of Minnesotans here. I can't be the only North Dakotan here. pissed:

I envy the ones that live in NYC. You guys all live in the same city and could easily meet up.

Nope, there are a LOT of IL people here. I've seen a lot from the Chicago area. I believe Raven Symone (or whatever the name was) is from IL as well.
