Just testing some photos for another a gardening website. My photos are not working over there.
So I just want to see if it's my computer, or their webpage. |

I'm designing a water garden, and just need some advice from garden specialists on where it should go. So that's why I had these photos taken.

You know something? They are not expensive. Prices start at around $9000 Canadian for a cement pond.

I'd say closer to $16000 for a good quality one (liner, etc.). Ours was $20000 in 1977 (we didn't put it in, but the previous owners left all the receipts and paperwork for it). I think it was the digging and decking that cost the most though. We dropped in a new liner a couple of years back for $2200 (best quality). I'd like to re-do the stairs and replace the diving board next. We'll probably need a new filter in a couple of years as well. It's our fishpond that I'd like to get fixed up again, but we're looking at about $2500 for that alone since it's a deeper than usual customized one. The fish can winter in it when it's deep. It's also not one of those black plastic things - it's more like the one's you see indoors in restaurant lobbies. |

It's quite pretty!! I think ours is a little larger - tough to tell - our's isn't the sloping kidney shape - it has "sharp" angles to it. Actually I think the prices have come down over the years. I added a wishing well a couple of years ago too (I just love them)!! btw, we also found a great light (a solar one that actually gives off a LOT of light) for $200. You can drop it it so it floats, or suctioncup it to the wall or floor. Looking forward to trying it out this year (we just bought it at the end of the season last year). Apparently the price jumped on them this year to at least $350. |
