Was there a pilot that It was a remake of Match Game called What The Blank, and did It made it to air or was it an unsold pilot? Can anyone name of any clebrities that were on the pilot?

There was a pilot made for FOX, but they passed on it. Last I heard, it was being shopped to other networks, but that was a few months ago that I heard that.

As long as American Idol and other reality shows are such a big hit, why dump it for a game show? I read great things about the What The Blank pilot, and hopefully it will one day get the green light.

Yes, getting the green light means going into production as a series. Sometimes pilots can sit on shelves for years before network executives decide to produce it into a show. As of right now, there are no plans to launch this show.
