Lotus Notes - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

anyone got any good websites where I could just read up on Lotus Notes... just kind of an informational website... i've been searching, but all I can come up with are sale pitches. I'm just wanting to kind of familiarize myself with it; just kind of have a basic basic basic knowledge of what it is.

Don't know other than that it's an inferior mail/calendar software program similar to Outlook. I prefer Outlook actually - easier to handle attachments with and all. Is this what Magna uses on their system? I used it for about a year at a company, but like I said, prefer Outlook.

yea, Magna uses Lotus Notes and I know NOTHING about it... so i was just kind of wanting to familiarize myself with it so I do'nt look like such a moron

I'll see what I can find on it for you Melissa.

It is similar to Outlook but I found it cumbersome to use compared. The attaching and unattaching of documents is a pain in the ass on it - unless newer versions are easier. I was using it in 2002/2003. I didn't find it as flexible (which actually probably makes it easier for the administrator come to think of it).

well that's the side I am on, but I need to know how to do it from the Client side because i'll be doing a lot of desktop support
