The first one had the better body, and the second one had the prettier(and innocent-looking) face

The first one had a face you could make gorilla cookies from - the second was much better!!

btw - my husband and noticed that even the second seemed to change in looks - we thought there might have even been THREE Vivians - a third only briefly. That or did her looks change that much during her pregnancy???

She really WAS scary looking!!! I'd be afraid to say the wrong thing to her!! And it just didn't work - how could anything so oogly give birth to Hilary and Ashley?!

I thought the second one was a LOT more in keeping with the show itself, and family resemblances. That's why it kills me that the first one thought she was so hot. The second sure did change in looks with that pregnancy, but I've seen that happen before - I've had friends who's facial features bloated during the last trimester.

I thought the first Vivian was beautiful. Was she ugly to you because she was too dark-skinned?

Noooo - not at all. And I'm sorry if you misunderstood my intention and apologize if you were offended at all.

All I was thinking is that she reminded me of a younger "Esther" - the character from Sanford & Son, and Fred's cracks to her - that's where the term came from. She seemed to have "sharper" features that the more "softer" ones of the 2nd Viv - it wasn't in reference to skintone at all. My God, some of the most beautiful people in the world are darker skinned blacks! Believe me, of the five best friends I've had in my life, two were dark skinned blacks and one was Mulatto. I've dated black guys. I guess that's why it didn't even cross my mind - just thinking what Fred would say (since S&S is another fav show of mine). Hell - I had a huge crush on Will and he's still one of my favourite actors - I'll watch anything he's in.
I'm from Canada and racism just isn't much of an issue up here so that's why I wasn't thinking that it could be taken as such.
I watch a show if I like the characters and writing and Fresh was fabulous! I never took exception to the odd crack about whites on the show - it just isn't an issue for me. We all bleed red. Just think of how boring it would be if we were all the same colour! Viva la difference!!

btw - I was watching an ep last night from 1992 and the first Vivian was pregnant - Phil even mentioned it show. So all I can assume is that's where the Nicholas character came from. But wasn't the second Vivian pregnant not long after she started on the show also? (That's where I'm thinking her features changed during it a bit)? If so, did they just try to hide it?

Well I apologise for jumping to conclusions. You're a pretty cool person and Fresh Prince was a great show.

Again I'm sorry.

Hey - no problem!! After reading my original post again, I can see where it could have been taken wrong - I guess if anything, I was trying to be funny using Fred's description (my bad). And I REALLY am sorry for offending ANYONE here. Believe me, that LAST thing I am is racist! I guess I just don't even think of it as I've grown up with lots of friends of colour. Heck - I've even called myself an orangutan before because I have extra long arms!!

I'm glad you understand.

I guess the first Viv was alright, I just think the second was a little more "down to earth" for lack of a better term which made her more attractive to me. Tastes differ - my husband LOVES Hilary - he thinks she's so beautiful, but I think Ashley was the real knockout - especially when she started maturing.

Glad we're cool!

P.S. I like your avatar - Bullwinkle Rocks!!

Ashley and Hilary were very attractive. I used to wish Ashley was my girlfriend.
