I hate it when TV Land replaces S & S for one of those stupid Top Ten shows

TV Land seriously should change their name to "Top Ten Land." That is all they seem to show anymore. I mean it would be fine if they showed one Top Ten show a week, that would be one thing, but they show the same episode over and over again. And to make matters worse, it seems like they are always pre-empting S & S to show this "original programming." Last night for example---they showed the one Top Ten episode of tv stars to movie stars at 9:00PM our time. Then after that they showed the "Tickled Pink" episode. Well, then they repeated them at 1:00AM and they're going to repeat it again Friday evening at 8:00PM. So that right there is at least three times in, what, about 45 hours. I'm talking about the one specific "Tickled Pink" show that they will have shown that many times in slightly less than 48 hours. Plus when you consider the "60 Minutes" shows that they show and also those "Producers" shows that they show on Saturday mornings, etc. I for one just wish that they would go back to showing the classic televisision shows themselves. That's what I like to watch TV Land for. I'm getting sick of all their "original programming." They can keep their original programming . . . I want to see the original episodes of the shows I love.

so basically, TV Land Sucks.

Thats one of reasons i buy the S&S collection. No delays, no EDITING (TV LAND), no commericals.

Why would you be upset about this when all seasons of Sanford and Son will be on DVD in 3 weeks?

Sanford and Son always gets the worse end of the stick when wack ass TVLand wants to show something else. It is bad enough they took the mini-marathon off on Thursdays for "Jeers" I can't wait for season 6 to come out this coming week, I'll have all seasons. Who needs TVland anyway.

Well the show has been on TV LAND for a while so maybe that's why TV LAND don't see it as a big deal to replace S&S with a Top Ten Airing.

Minor inconvience. I loved TVLand when I had cable. Their promos are among my favorites. I really miss it. But...as someone already said I can get those DVDs when I'm ready. Like Gilligan, it'll be fun seeing all the stuff they edit out.

Hopefully when I turn cable back on (someday, but no hurry) they'll have improved their original programming. I didn't really mind occational stuff they were doing.

I think you've nailed it. And they sure don't totally understand fandom either. no S&S=a lot of pissed off people! Nobody's going to say: "Oh good! A Top 10 instead of S&S!!"

Sanford and Son and All In The Family get treated like ugly stepchildren by TvLand.

All In The Family has been done that way for years. I was recording them early in the morning on some channel years ago before TV Land picked it up. Highly annoying.

Well the TOP TEN was like a breath of Fresh air to me on TV LAND at 10pm because S&S is on DVD now and I saw every ep on TV LAND since January of 2003. If I was in charge of TV LAND Programming I would have done the same thing
