Mother Jefferson. I love Louise to death, and I can't stand seeing anyone being so mean to her! It's bad enough listening to the way George talks to her half the time. I do like George though, because underneath all his faults, he really is a good, loving, decent guy, and every once in a while he shows it to Louise.

I love everyone on the show, because it took each of their personalities to make the show a true legend.

My least favorite character was Allan Willis (played by Jay Hammer), who joined the cast in 1978. He was Tom and Helen's son, and the brother of Jenny Willis. he supposedly had been living overseas for a number of years (explaining why we had not previously seen him). I just don't think this character added anything to the show.

I didn't care for the first actor who played Allan, he was annoying. (Don't remember his name.) But I'm a fan of Jay Hammer, especially when he was on "Guiding Light".
I think the character I liked the least was the maid who briefly replaced Florence. I don't remember her name. |

Charlie the bartender kind of got on my nerves. Why was he always saying
"Jeffusun" instead of "Jefferson?" |

Mother Jefferson was my least favorite. I think the writers went overboard and wrote her character as too mean-spirited.

My least favorite characters:
-Lionel #2 -Ralph the doorman (some episodes he was really annoying..always begging for a tip...I'd always crack up when George slams the door on him) -Allan Willis (there just wasn't any purpose of him being there on the show...thanks Jimbo for explaining the reason why he suddenly appeared in '78--because until today I never knew how he got there, and I'm watching TV Land Fandemonium right now with the Jeffersons) |
