Default Have any stories been updated since the show's end?

Since the show ended in 2002, have their been any more updates? Also, are their plans for a re-make?

There have been a lot of cases updated since the show went out of production in 2002. In fact, I have been posting messages about articles I discovered online concerning developments in various cases we saw on UM.

As for your second question, a show like UM can't be remade, only revived. Even though Lifetime continues to air reruns, the network doesn't appear to be interested in re-starting the show. And if you haven't heard any news about plans to revive the show, it is highly probable that there are no such plans to do so in the foreseeable future.

The only updates I know are that Larry Race was released from prison. Randolph Dial and Jesse James Hollywood were captured. Randolph Dial's alleged hostage Bobbie Parker was found alive and returned to her family.

Another update involved either the guitarist or the drummer of the rock group Iron Butterfly. His remains were found in a van at the bottom of a canyon.

Actually, his remains were found in 1999, three years before UM permanently ceased production. By the way, the man's name was Philip "Taylor" Kramer. He was Iron Butterfly's bass player.

I found a link on Kramer, for those who are interested.

Also Pat Carlton has been found safe after 30+ years of being missing. She was the lady who had a brain aneurysm and after surgery developed amnesia and ran off several times. I wish I could find out more details but am glad that her sister has finally been reunited with her.

Well, my mistake. I hadn't seen that case until some time after that.

You know, I always thought his death was more than just an accident. I still do!

Care to elaborate on your theory? - I've always felt that Kramer's death was a suicide. Having dealt with a number of family members with bi-polar disorder I have little doubt in my mind that Taylor Kramer based on the way he was portrayed in the segment was a victim of manic episodes. The part where he is skipping through the woods saying that God had annoited him is scary. People who suffer from this disorder seem to exibit euphoric emotional highs like the one that Kramer was expereincing there coupled with very scary depressive lows which can lead to mental breakdowns/panic attacks/suicide and all sorts of horrible things. I think that on the day he died Taylor Kramer suffered a breakdown of some sort which winded up in him taking his own life. Thats just my feeling given how Kramer was portrayed in the segment.

Later.

Don't worry Kane, it's not a problem. If you hadn't displayed the correction, I would've continued to believe that the update had premiered at the time I first saw it.

Honestly, I don't know what to think because I STILL have ZERO knowledge regarding the circumstance(s) in which truly surrounds his death. It could either be this or it could be that and we can draw our own conclusions but until some kind of confirmed information is displayed, the wonder will remain.

Yes I agree with DarkDante that Kramer killed himself. He called a 911 operator and told her he was going to commit suicide although it is strange if he wandered around for days before doing so (his wife claims he called her several days after he went missing). That sleep deprivation can really affect you mentally and obviously Taylor Kramer wasn't thinking clearly at the time I believe he ended his life.

I've heard that Jill Behrman's remains have been found. I think this happened after the show stopped making new episodes. I'm sure there are others. I also remember that Molly Bish's remains have been found. I know there have been more.

Could anyone elaborate more about the "Pat" woman who had a brain aneuryism and was found safe? If that's the segment that I'm thinking of, then I think it was updated on UM.

The story about Patricia Carlton. Her sister found her children unattended one day and Pat unconscious on her bed. They rushed her to the hospital where she had emergency brain surgery. When she woke up she had total amnesia and had to relearn even the most basic tasks. She soon remarried Troy Carlton and wandered off several times but the last time was never seen again. I don't remember UM ever updating it but would be great if they would.

As far as updates, todays show about FL conv. store disappearances had one. I watched a "Forensic Files" once about Donna Callahan, one of the clerks profiled today. Her body was eventually found and two brothers were convicted of her murder.
