Her name was Tina Resch. There is a book about her called "Unleased of Poltergeists and Murder: The Curious Story of Tina Resch". Its author is William G. Roll who was interviewed for the UM segment. I do think she was exposed as a hoax and did it to garner attention so she could find her birth parents. Some people still believe her though. Last I knew she was in jail convicted of killing her child.

nailed it here. She was a fraud but I'm not entirely sure if it was the whole "finding the birth parents" motive behind the whole hoaxing. I heard her foster parents I believe encouraged her to do it to garner them attention for whatever reason I'm not sure - Tina also had several severe psychological issues relating to the entire incident which according to some lead to her killing her infant child.
Dr. William Roll btw has to have more "guest appearances" on UM than anyone. He's on at least three episodes I can think of and I'm always expecting him to reference "Mr. Gordy" out of the blue - I just love how he references him numerous times in the Wyrick case. Later. |

Yes, Dark thats a good point. I watched it yesterday when it aired knowing it was a hoax and after watching her foster parents be interviewed they had to have been on in it or knew what was going on. No one is that stupid! Maybe when they saw Tina knock over a lamp and she explained it away as doing it so the reporters would leave, was really a fact of someone actually catching them in the act.

I taped the story regardless. Still even if this was a hoax, they did mention about electro pulses in the brain. And there was a similar story about a women who emanated electrical surges from her own body. This segment is n the Psychics DVD under the title "electric lady". What is your take on this case?
When did she kill her child? How old is that book? |

I found this article on Tina
http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/...l_realm/115852 The picture painted of her foster family life is a stark contrast to the loving family they imply in the UM segment. I realize the author seems to be siding with Tina on this one, but I wonder which portrait is more acurate? Either way, a very tragic case... |

Hmm, forgive my stupidity but I guess the professional photographers were in on it as well if it was indeed a hoax? Because how do you explain the national published photograph of the telephone reciever flying over her lap?
