The the 78th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee starts this Wednesday at Independence Concourse (level 5-B) of the Grand Hyatt Washington, 1000 H Street (10th and H Streets), N.W, in downtown Washington, D.C. Following schedule of the event:

Competition Day One: Wednesday, June 1

Round One
8 to 8:45 a.m. EDT

Round Two
9 to 12:25 p.m. EDT

Announcement Assembly for the Results of Rounds One and Two
12:30 p.m. EDT

Round Three
2 to 3:45 p.m. EDT

Round Four
4 to 5:30 p.m. EDT

Just out of curiosity...

What's the farthest anyone ever got in spelling bee competitions?

(I got to state finals in 1991; I got tossed out on "dirge". Fortunately I got to sit right by the national champ that year. Clintonville, Wisconsin, I salute you!)

How come no one replied to my 2 posts about the Lacrosse games,the spelling is not a sport , Lacrosse is
