Led Zeppelin question
What album was "Cashmere" on? It's my favorite Led Zeppelin song and I want to buy the album.

Physical Graffitti is the ulltimate Led Zeppelin album. Released in 1975, it was origianlly a two record set, and it contains many different styles of music from really heavy stuff to more mellow songs.

Robert Plant - vocals Jimmy Page - lead guitar John Bonham (deceased) - drums John Paul Jones - bass guitar, keyboards btw - some trivia - Jason Bonham, John's son, is currently touring with the reformed Foreigner (with Mick Jones - Lou's on his own). and in the case of the song, its spelled Kashmir

It's great to see that there are still people in this day and age who are interested in finding out about real music.
Led Zeppelin were the gods. They are our overlords.

I LOVE the fact that the next generation is getting into and appreciating the groups we grew up with and worshipped!
I mean I like some of the big band stuff my parents listened to, but not much else. Today's kids seem to like our music just as much as we did which brings the generations more together I think. I don't think there's the gap like there was with our parents. I can relate a lot more to today's kids than our parents did with us and I think a lot of it has to do with the music. It does still hit me as odd though when I'm in a grocery store and I hear a Zep song come over the Muzac system! We used to consider that boring "elevator music" - who'da thought it would be our heavy rock bands that would be played - I never thought I'd be humming Black Dog while picking out vegetables!

Yup - he has. He's also playing in Toronto on July 7th and they're hoping to get him to come in a few days early to play at the Live 8 concert. Time's getting short though - don't know if it'll happen. How cool would it be to get him AND Jimmy Page on the same stage that day. ![]() I also liked some of the stuff he did with The Honeydrippers (shortly after the breakup of Zeppelin in the early 80s). |
