Default Earlier characters vs later characters

Sorry folks, I made an error in my post below. I asked TJ to delete it, but he hasn't yet. Anyway, I want know if anyone prefer the earlier characters better or the later characters.

Early characters:
Melvin
Swanny
Aunt Ethel
Juilo
Leroy
Skillet

Later characters:
Rodney
Mrs. Hopkins
Hutch
Ah-Chew
Janet& Roger
The many roles of Fritzi Burr
The dude that always said yessssss

No contest. The earlier characters rule. I wished Swanny would have hung around for a while though.

EARLIER!! The best earlier character, in my opinion, is JULIO.

The earlier characters, however, I loved Fritzi Burr's bit parts.

Definitely, and without a doubt, the EARLIER characters. Why was it,after Redd Foxx came back, only Grady and Bubba among the characters introduced on the earlier episodes remained? Were they(Melvin,Skillet,)written out of the series because they were not popular characters?

I liked them all. Other than when Redd was off the show for awhile, I thought the show was great from start to finish.

Of all the later characters listed, only Ah Chew added anything to the show.

I will take Aunt Esther over Aunt Ethel (played by the great Beah Richards) any day of the week. Too bad they couldn't find something else for Mrs. Beah to do on this show.
Also, Leroy and Skillet were in quite a few episodes that I would classify as neither early or later. They were just great on the show! I understand, though, they, like Redd and Lawanda Page, had a very X-rated stand-up act. Too bad, none of them really seemed to need one.
